From Hungry to Hopeful

2019 Annual Report

Because of you, our neighbors have food, dignity and hope. Your support makes a lasting impact.

Welcome and Thank You!

Welcome to the Greater Chicago Food Depository’s fiscal year 2018-2019 annual report. This year presented unique challenges – and transformational opportunities. Because of your support, we distributed an unprecedented amount of nutritious food. Generous donors like you made major upgrades to our facility possible. And we recognized our 40th year in operation with both sadness and gratitude. We feel sadness because 40 years after our founding, hunger is still persistent in our community. We’re also tremendously grateful for the many compassionate and courageous supporters who have helped us grow to meet the need over the years.

I encourage you to explore the stories of the impact your support made possible. Because of your support, we remain steadfast and hopeful in the mission to end hunger. On behalf of the people we serve and all of us at the Food Depository, thank you.
